Jeanette’s Cakery – Saltaire

A special day meant being taken out and treated to lunch and cake. Jeanette’s Cakery is infuenced by the 1940s and 1950s. It is a really cute cafe decorated with bird wallpaper, bunting, fairy lights, flowers in Colman mustard tins and pale blue cushioned seating. There is even a jukebox.

Shimla Spice – Shipley

Shimla Spice looks quite decadent with its flocked wallpaper, ornate silver mirrors and little lights covering the ceiling. It has the banner in the window stating that is the Best Indian Restaurant in England 2013 from the English Curry Awards.

Asian fusion cuisine can be a bit of a hit or miss situation. But Yo Yo had nothing at all to worry about with the taste and quality of their food.

The Tapas Tree Restaurant- Shipley

It was a little daunting to introduce the family to a new cuisine. Personally, I am a big fan of Spanish food but I wasn’t sure if my mom would like it, even though she said that it would be fine.

Aagrah – Shipley

Aagrah is an Indian restaurant spread over two floors. The upper floor is the buffet area and the ground floor is where you can order off the normal menu. For starters, we ordered the Aagrah special tandoori mix and the Aagrah special vegetable mix. The tandoori mix consisted of lamb chops, seekh kebab, chicken tikka…
